Every fabric is different. Weave, viscosity, material thickness, inherent behaviour, air permeability, and so on.

Robotextile has researched and successfully tested the properties and behaviour of 100
different textiles in numerous scientific studies.

The following specifications were applied for the tests:

 

  • Determination of mass per unit area, DIN EN 12127:1997
  • Determination of thickness, DIN EN ISO 5084:1996 and DIN EN ISO 9073-2:1997 (nonwovens)
  • Determination of air permeability,
    DIN EN ISO 9237:1995
  • Determination of bending stiffness, DIN 53 362:2003
  • Macroscopic investigations to characterise the surface
